10) A live on-air phone call during SXSW from Yoko Ono (from Iceland) who chided me for missing the premiere of The Beatles' "Love" which she invited me to.
And, of course, all of the wonderful musical events with KGSR (Music Lounge performances, on-air interviews, broadcasts vol. 15, the 17th Anniversary Concert and too many to mention - or remember!). I am so blessed.

it's pure joy (and often times escalated insanity as their children mix

3. The Avett Brothers "Emotionalism" album and their show in

4. Walking the National Mall in D.C. during a
national college media convention in October, my first time to do so; a
humbling and soul-stirring experience.
5. The Schumacher family's first
protest march! Protesting against the war!! 'Bout time! Now if we can
just get out leaders to change course...
6. Our backyard sanctuary gets
a little closer to being finished! (A work in progress, 8 years and
running...) This year' additions: a red stone patio, meditation garden,
a vegetable garden, new bushes & plants.
7. Rowan turns 2, and delivers
his first actual words, "oh" and "wow," that remind us of the wonder of
discovering the simple things in this world like dump trucks and the
moon.
8. Our little brainiac, Liam, is "certified" as gifted and
talented by AISD; will he build robots shen he grows up, as he talks
about so often?
9. The Norton Records showcase during SXSW, and getting to meet Billy
Miller & Miriam Linna and the rest of the A-Bones at the Ponderosa Stomp
showcase - a few great stories, and Miriam gives great autographs!
10. Starting out anew with my older brother, Dave, the black sheep of the
family, with whom I've had a tense relationship for many years.
