Corrugated Cardboard

 

Flatten corrugated boxes and cut or fold them down to 2 feet x 2 feet. Tie them into manageable bundles with string or twine.

 

 

Keep These Tips in Mind When Recycling

 

Place your recycling at the curb by 6:30 a.m.

Do not use plastic bags for your recycling

Rinse your containers and put the lids in the garbage.

Separate your paper from the rest of your recycling.

If you have garbage & recycling collection on the same day, place your recycling five feet from your garbage cart.

Put the following items in your GARBAGE CART:

containers with needles or syringes inside; paper milk cartons and similar boxes; coat harngers; egg cartons; dairy or margarine tubs; motor oil bottles; pizza boxes; plastic bags; scrap metal; Styrofoam; and take-out containers.

Pick up a recycling bin at any City of Austin fire station. Please bring your utility bill to show you have the City of Austin's garbage service.
