No more loneliness for you Phantogram fans.
The duo recently released a new single titled “Into Happiness,” and premiered a music video for the tune this week. Check it out below.
Phantogram – Into Happiness
The electronic-rock band stated in a press release, “‘Into Happiness’ is a song about growth and realization of a lot of things in our lives over the years.” Phantogram collaborated with Floria Sigismondi on the project, a friend they’ve known since preschool. “It was fun to put ourselves in her hands and let her take the video and song where she saw it going,” said the band.
In the video, we see Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter connected by a red thread that’s tied on their fingers, remaining secure to one another even as time passes. “We meet Sarah and Josh at different ages as they move through an enigmatic dreamworld, always connected by this red string representing their passion, friendship, and music,” said Sigismondi.
“Into Happiness” is the first song fans have heard from the band since their last single “Someday” back in 2018.
Phantogram – Someday
Their latest release has fans anticipating for what’s to come as the electronic-rock duo have teased about new music in the near future. Their single certainly is a contrast from previous work Phantogram has shared with the world. Back in 2017, their full-length album, Three, was impacted by the tragic loss of frontwoman Sarah Barthel’s sister. With the past leaning more on the somber side, the future seems to be a different story.
You can catch Phantogram at Stubb’s this fall on September 14th. VIP tickets are still available for purchase.
