22-year-old singer Sigrid is a must-watch at ACL Fest this year. Coming from a small town in Norway, the up-and-coming pop star has an intoxicating voice that undoubtedly leaves you wanting more, and she has the numbers to prove it.
The singer-songwriter’s track “Strangers” has over 75 million streams on Spotify. Her music video isn’t too far from that either, reaching over 51 million views on YouTube. The 22-year-old’s debut album Sucker Punch came out this March. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the artist expressed that this album is “a little piece of [her] brain.” The album name takes on the title of a featured track, a title that Sigrid believes suited her work perfectly. “The reason I chose it as the title track is I needed a word that would summarize the whole thing. I think every single song is very opinionated, it’s all out there. It’s unapologetic music.”
