Soak it up with Houses at Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Coming from Chicago, the indie-pop duo started off as coworkers at an Apple store and have since then put their creative minds together on three albums. After the release of their first album All Night in 2010, Dexter Tortoriello and Megan Messina brought in visual artist Alan Jensen to take their live shows to the next level.
Houses released their second album, A Quiet Darkness, in 2013 and after a five-year hiatus, they returned with an adapted sound. Their latest album Drugstore Heaven was influenced by the fluctuation and experimentation of music from the late ‘90s. “At the time all that stuff was coming out, electronic music was just being discovered, so there was this really pioneering sense of what was possible,” said Tortoriello.
Check out their lead single “Fast Talk” off the latest album.

Aside from working on Drugstore Heaven, Tortoriello also engaged in collaborations these past five years with other artists. The frontman shared his writing and producing expertise with musicians like like Kali Uchis and Lil Yachty.
Houses will be located at the Miller Lite stage at ACL Fest both weekends on October 4th and October 11th at 1:15pm.
