Thursday, July 4th

Independence Day Festival | Hill Country Galleria | 4pm
Enjoy a classic 4th of July feeling at the Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Festival, hosted by our very own Emily Parker! The free night will feature live music, food, fair rides and games! And of course, 4th of July fireworks! Parents, make sure to get there early to enjoy the kid friendly activities, and the event is dog friendly.
4th of July Dance Party | Volstead Lounge | 10pm
Dance parties, it’s what our forefathers would’ve wanted! This no-cover event will be happening all night at the Volstead Lounge, along with the music, you can also enjoy drink specials. There will also be a party the night before on July 3rd, so you can enjoy a 4th of July Eve party too!
HEB Austin Symphony | Vic Mathias Shores at Ladybird Lake | 8:30pm
Enjoy a nice night of music from the Austin Symphony Orchestra on Lady Bird Lake! The event is completely free and will also have a fireworks show after the performance. Free and paid parking is available close to the event, but of course, first come first serve.
Friday, July 5th
Yoga and Paddle Boarding |Texas Rowing Center | 9:30am-11:30am
Have a relaxing Friday morning and try something new with yoga and paddle boarding! Tickets start at $40, the group will meet at the Texas Rowing Center and then paddle out on Lady Bird Lake. Later, the group will meet at a cove where they will be trying out beginner friendly yoga techniques.

Dumbo | Community First Village Amphitheater | 8pm-11pm
Friday night means movie time! The Community First Amphitheater is having its weekly Friday night screening, and this week is the Tim Burton remake of Dumbo! This event is free but donations are always welcomed!
Saturday, July 6th
Peached Tortilla Happy Hour | Peached Tortilla | 5pm-7pm
Come enjoy Happy Hour this Saturday at the Peached Tortilla! With $6 wine, $6 cocktails, and $5 beers you can’t go wrong. There’s also some yummy snacks and tacos, along with the new Social Burger for $7!
Red, White, and You: Dancing Through the Decades | Bastrop Convention & Exhibit Center | 7PM
Take it back to a simpler time this Saturday night with Dancing Through the Decades! Tickets are $20, and there will be live music, food, and dance lessons on-hand to teach guest some great new moves. Guests are encouraged to dress vintage, and there’ll be a prize for best dressed!
Sunday, July 7th
Run to Mount Bonnell | Stephen F. Austin High School | 5:30am
Rise and shine for the monthly run to Mount Bonnell! The event is free and there should be plenty of parking at the high school and near Lady Bird. The distance from Mount Bonnell and back will be 9 miles and if you include the trail, 12 miles. All abilities welcome!
Free Class: Organic Veggie Gardening 101 | The Natural Gardener | 10am-11am
Come and learn all of the basics of growing your own delicious and nutritious food! Sunday at the Natural Gardener, the class will go over topics such as best growing seasons and soil prep. The class always has something new, so even an experienced gardener can take part!
