The results are in! The top 40 vinyl albums of 2018 have been revealed, and the Arctic Monkeys made it to number one.

Their sixth album, “Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino,” is now the UK’s best-selling vinyl. With 38,000 copies sold since the album’s release date, it’s no surprise that they’re at the top. The band’s latest album even broke the record for the fastest selling vinyl of the past 25 years.

Arctic Monkeys fans had some choices when it came to purchasing the vinyl. From black and clear plastic sold in stores, to a silver variant vinyl available to buy online, the band even had an exclusive pop-up shop in their hometown of Sheffield during the week of the album’s release.

Other bands that made it to the list this year include The 1975 for their album, “A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships,” Pink Floyd for “The Dark Side of the Moon,” and Nirvana for “Nevermind.”

Aside from the top-selling vinyl, the official top 40 vinyl singles of 2018 were also released.

The Arctic Monkeys song “Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino” made it to number seven, Led Zeppelin’s song “Rock and Roll” took second, while Noel Gallagher made it to number one with the song “It’s a Beautiful World.”
