The second half of Austin City Limits 44th season returns to PBS this weekend. R&B singer Khalid and Canadian indie psychedelic singer Mac Demarco’s debut performances will be airing on Saturday, December 15th, on KLRU.
It’s no surprise to say this has been quite a year for Khalid. His debut album “American Teen,” has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide, and the 20-year-old has been nominated for five Grammys, including Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best New Artist. The Texas native has also collaborated with some big artists, including rising star Billie Eilish and rapper Logic.
We’re so excited to hear some of our favorites from Khalid during this episode like “Young Dumb & Broke,” “8TEEN” and “Location.” Get the full episode set list here.
As for indie rocker Mac Demarco, expect to hear songs from his latest studio album called “This Old Dog.” And if you’re in the mood to travel and want to see him live, the singer-songwriter is set to play for Father John Misty’s benefit concert, which will aid those who were affected by the California wildfires. The concert is scheduled for December 18th in Los Angeles. Get more details on the show here.
