Twenty One Pilots dropped a new single titled “Level of Concern” that will benefit Crew Nation, a global relief fund for live music crews who are currently out of work.
Quarantine inspired, frontman Tyler Joseph took to Twitter to explain that it felt like the right time to release this song. “first song i ever wrote on electric guitar. i think it’s simple but hopeful.”

Numerous artists have taken the time to create work that people can relate to, particularly now when the world seems to be on pause and there’s a rise of ambiguity for the future. With the duo’s upbeat track and optimistic lyrics, all of that seems to fade away for three minutes and 52 seconds. “Wonderin’ would you be my little quarantine? Or is this the way it ends? ‘Cause I told you my level of concern. But you walked by like you never heard, and you could bring down my level of concern, just need you to tell me we’re alright, tell me we’re okay.”
Twenty Pilots also released a music video, showing at-home footage of the duo with their families and loved ones. The two go back and forth filming themselves, and share the footage with one another by mailing a USB hard drive labeled with the “Level of Concern” artwork. Watch the music video below.
