Hanson “MMMBop” [SXSW 2017]

Brothers Zac, Taylor, and Isaac Hanson, from Tulsa, Oklahoma started the band Hanson in 1992. The band released Middle of Nowhere in 1997 when they were just 16, 14 and 11. The record included Grammy nominated smash hit, “MMMBop,” as well as MTV’s favorites “Where’s the Love” and “Weird.” Hanson is still going strong in their 30s, selling more than 16 million albums to date. Ahead of their 30th anniversary in 2022, the trio are planning to record not just one, but two album length projects. The first album, Against the World, is set to be released sometime this year, and in 2021, Hanson will release the second record, Black Mesa.
Alice Merton “No Roots” [ACL 2018]
In 2018, Alice Merton played her hit track “No Roots” backstage at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Alice Merton kick started her pop career with single “No Roots” in 2016. Late last year, Merton debuted her first full album Mint. The album is a collection of 11 songs she co-wrote with producer Nicolas Rebscher. Alice Merton was also recently featured on AWOLNATION’s new version of “The Best” from his most recent album Angel Miners & the Lightning Riders. The Head and the Heart “Lost In My Mind” [Music Lounge]
The Head and The Heart stopped by the Dell Music Lounge in 2016 to perform a live rendition of their song “Lost In My Mind.”
The Head and the Heart’s fourth full-length album, Living Mirage, received high critical praise last year. The album featured the song “Honeybee,” which currently sits in the top 30 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart and is the band’s highest streaming song on the record with over 48 million streams globally. Recently, the group premiered a “Piano Version” of the single and it has even gone viral on TikTok, reaching over 100 million TikTok views and over 16.9k videos were created using the song. Unfortunately, like pretty much every other band and musician, The Head and the Heart had to postpone their upcoming U.S. tour with Margo Price and Hiss Golden Messenger due to the COVID-19 pandemic. James Bay “Let It Go” [SXSW 2015]

James Bay has been utilizing his downtime during the current COVID-19 lockdown by taking to Instagram Live to give guitar lessons. The singer-songwriter has been logging on every Wednesday and Friday at 1PM CST. Bay has already taught fan favorites “Let It Go,” “Hold Back The River,” “Us,” “Wild Love,” “Scars,” “Pink Lemonade,” “Clocks Go Forward,” and “If You Ever Want To Be In Love.” Don’t worry if you’ve missed the first few live lessons, he has put them on his IGTV so you can go back and learn to play the songs. Gary Clark Jr “Ain’t Messin Round” & “Bright Lights” [ACL 2012]
During the Austin City Limits Music Festival in 2012, a budding Gary Clark Jr. stopped by ACL Radio’s tent to perform “Ain’t Messin’ Round” and “Bright Lights.”
Gary Lee Clark Jr. was born and raised in Austin and continues to make his hometown proud. He released his first EP, The Bright Lights, in 2011, followed by 2012’s Blak and Blu, The Story of Sonny Boy Slim in 2015, and his latest album This Land, released last year. In 2014, Clark Jr. was awarded a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B performance for the song “Please Come Home.” This year, he won another Grammy Award for “Best Rock Song” and “Best Rock Performance” for the song “This Land” from his 2019 record. Gary Clark Jr. is still planning on going on tour later this year with The Black Keys and The Marcus King Band, beginning in the Netherlands on June 3rd and concluding in Jacksonville, Florida on September 6th.
