The Chicks honored recently deceased recording artist Olivia Newton-John with a live cover of her 1978 hit from Grease, “Hopelessly Devoted to You.” Playing at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, WA on August 13th, lead singer Natalie Maines told the crowd, “I thought I was Olivia Newton-John from like four until 12.”
Newton-John passed away August 8th, after battling breast cancer for 30 years. The Chicks just wrapped up the summer leg of their tour, but will hit the road again in September. Watch a video of the performance, shot by a fan, below.
