Hocus Pocus Free Outdoor Screening
6:30 – 9:30 PM | The Community Cinema at Mobile Loaves & Fishes
With the weather at a nice chill, this small window of time is the perfect opportunity to lay in the grass and watch a festive film. Mobile Loaves & Fishes are hosting a screening of Halloween themed movie Hocus Pocus this Friday. Although admission is free, a $5 donation to the organization is encouraged. The event will also have a Community Grille where you can buy burgers, fries, drinks, and other snacks. The movie will begin one hour after the starting time but come early to claim your spot!
Banger’s Oktoberfest
11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Banger’s Sausage House and Beer Garden
Kicking off the Oktoberfest events, Banger’s located on Rainey Street is transforming their garden into a German festival. Providing a special menu of bierwurst, spaetzle, schnitzel, weisswurst, and German potato cakes, a keg and live band will also be on site for guests to enjoy. Although admission is free, seating is first come first serve so get there early.
Formula 1 Pirelli 2018 United States Grand Prix
9:00 AM | Circuit of the Americas
One of the biggest events in motorsports is coming to Austin for the annual, three-day racing competition. Race cars from Ferrari to Mercedes will spend the weekend speeding across the F1 race track. Live concert performances will take place on Saturday and Sunday from Bruno Mars and Britney Spears. Tickets can be purchased for the full three days or one day passes.

City Wide Garage Sale

Keeping the vintage vibe of Austin alive while promoting a sustainable fashion industry, go check out the city wide garage sale this weekend. Lost treasures from all different places are available for purchase. Adult tickets are $7 but in order to scope out the best finds, purchase the early bird special for $12. Items brought to the sale include clothes, jewelry, furniture, and more!

While getting in the spooky spirit and meeting fellow dog lovers in the city, Bring-Your-Own-Dog Austin is hosting a dog costume Halloween party. For $10, enjoy being outdoors with your canine companion and other friends! Snacks and drinks provided.

A one-hour of hatha flow yoga class is being hosted at Abel’s On The Lake this Sunday. Located right on Lake Austin, the class offers a relaxing, morning view. After the work out class, mimosas and brunch will be served! An advanced purchase of $14 should be completed before the class.
Strings In The Park
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Central Market- North Lamar
On the patio of Central Market, Will Taylor and Guy Forsyth will be taking the stage for a free, outdoor concert. Strings In The Park is an Austin based organization that promotes local musicians and green spaces in the city during the fall months. Head over to the eco-friendly event with friends and enjoy the live music.
Austin Fermentation Festival
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Austin Public Library New Central
13 workshops centered around fermented foods and beverages will be taking place at the Austin Public Library on Sunday. Local chefs will also be showcasing dishes that feature fermented ingredients. Drinks such as beer, wine, and cider will be provided. Shop around the silent auction while a live band plays. The event is free but a $10 donation is required to enter the workshops. All proceeds go to the Texas Farmers’ Market Farmer Emergency Fund.
