Arcade Fire have not released music since 2017, but recent cryptic postcards sent to fans are making everyone believe that the band is planning a release soon. Early on March 3rd, a fan posted a picture of a postcard that had the band’s logo at the bottom of it via Reddit. User BordonGrown wrote, “Received this in post today. Black box covering my address. Logo at the bottom looks like the band… Anyone else.”
The postcard features musical notations and a handwritten “we missed you.”
Another Reddit user and fan played the notes on guitar and posted the resulting tune on SoundCloud. Check the snippet out below.
This postcard is not the only thing leading fans to believe the band has something up their sleeve. Reddit user Chapperdeemus spotted a sticker similar to the one on the mysterious postcard. The user wrote “Saw u/BordonGrown’s post about the postcard this morning. I just walked past this sticker in London! Looks like something is happening!”
The band has continued to tease their fans via Twitter, while Reddit users and fans try to decode the mystery.
