She’s funky, edgy and can ridicule a serious issue with her lyrics. Where has she been all our lives?
Her latest album LONER, which has been referred to as a “darkly comedic sound,” comprises 11 songs that represent Rose’s personality. The indie-pop artist who was formerly making alt-country tunes, decided to take a different route with the 2018 album. “I needed to get more personal, more aggressive, more humorous and more sonically diverse than my older material. It just felt like a bubble inside me that had been growing and was about to pop,” said Rose in a press release.
Although the transition of genres wasn’t too drastic for Rose, the up-and-coming musician said she hasn’t felt more herself with LONER. Check out the music video for her song “Money” below.
