Grammy Award winning singer Lauren Daigle is embarking on her first-ever headlining tour in 2020. Prior to her upcoming arena tour, the Louisiana born-and-raised artist will be bringing her talents to the Austin City Limits Music Festival stage and the Austin City Limits Radio Live Morning Broadcast During ACL Fest.
The two-time Grammy winner’s latest album Look Up Child was released in 2018. Finding a way to connect with herself as an artist, Daigle worked on the album in her hometown. “It meant I had to put blood, sweat, and tears into everything. You pay the price spiritually, emotionally, and physically — so everyone else can gain something. I wanted to be as exposed and honest as possible.”
Her song “You Say” off the album remained at number 1 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 Chart for over 60 weeks. You can listen to the tune on the ACL Fest Artists Spotlight playlist below.
When it comes to performing live, Daigle doesn’t hold back. “I want to dance and move with the audience. I want fans to leave with a sense of hope, joy, and freedom they haven’t known. By re-identifying that joy in my own life, the sound is deeper than I ever imagined it could be.” Without a doubt, the artist is ready to bring to get back at it, stating that singing in front of her fans brings “this vulnerability that’s so pure when it comes to playing on a stage that I was really, really missing.”
