A dreamlike indie-pop sound that makes you feel as if you’ve escaped reality. Solo artist Amber Bain (aka The Japanese House) released her debut album Good At Falling earlier this year in March. Bain’s material for the album was established with the help of collaborators George Daniel from The 1975 and BJ Burton. The artist claims that Good At Falling has more of an upbeat style in comparison to her previous work.

Bain spoke about the inspiration behind her first album. Playing her songs from her EP’s live in front of a crowd was a definite factor when it came to creating music for Good At Falling. “When I wrote the EPs, in my head, I thought, this will be crazy, people will go wild. And it’s actually so different live. In your head something can sound like a club anthem and then live, it ends up as some down, slow, sad thing.”
Although she just released her debut album this year, Bain announced that she will be dropping new music tomorrow.
