Kingsbury Commons | Pease Park | 5 AM – 10 PM

After over a year of renovations, the new Kingsbury Commons at Pease Park is open to the public! Included in the other $15 million in changes is a remarkable two-story treehouse dome, a Tudor cottage and terrace, splash pad and more! There is so much to explore, so make time in your weekend to wander the park!

 

Patio Trivia: Disney Movies | Texas Keeper Cider | 7 PM – 9 PM

Does cider help or hinder your trivia skills? It’s your time to find out! This Friday join Texas Keeper Cider for Disney trivia on the patio by Get It Gals! This is an all ages event and costumes are welcome! Grab your team and head out to test your Disney knowledge!

 

80s Dance Party | ZACH Theatre | 7:30 PM

Put on your best dancing shoes for a night full of the greatest of the 80s! Head over to The People’s Plaza at ZACH Theatre for a socially-distanced, live outdoor concert featuring 80s tunes. Tickets are going fast, make sure to reserve yours soon!

Austin’s Birthday Bash | Republic Square | 5 PM – 10 PM

Celebrate Austin’s 182nd with loads of festivities happening at Republic Square! But first, head over to the 2nd Street District at 4 PM for a pre-celebration party with face painting and balloons! Later that night, walk over to Republic Square for live music, creative arts, and food!

 

Monster Jam | Frank Erwin Center | 7 PM

That ain’t jelly, it’s Monster Jam! The premier monster truck event will be at the Frank Erwin Center for a show on Saturday and Sunday. Available on Saturday is a Pit Pass where you can take pics with the trucks up close, enjoy a Q&A with the drivers, and get autographed cards! Tickets for the event are available now!

Texas Farmer’s Market Watermelon Fest | Mueller | 11 AM – 1 PM

Voted Austin’s favorite farmer’s market, Texas Farmer’s Market is a weekend classic. This week, you can celebrate National Farmer’s Week with them with a Watermelon Festival! Check out the info booth for a free watermelon popsicle while supplies last!

 

Cornhole Tournament | The Creek and The Cave | 1 PM

It’s time to break out your throwing arm for a competition of the finest tossers around! The Creek and The Cave are hosting a cornhole tournament this weekend! Grab your corniest friend and enter to be crowned the best cornholers in town! 

 

Austin Symphony Orchestra’s Concerts in the Park | Long Center Terrace | 7:30 PM

The final symphony is upon us! Join the Austin Symphony Orchestra for their Concerts in the Park at the Long Center Terrace for their last free performance. This weekend’s performers are the Chamber Ensemble. Bring out a blanket and snacks and soak up the sweet sounds of the symphony!
