Cheer up, Austinites! We’ve got some good news for you. A new study conducted by WalletHub shows that Austin ranked as one of the happiest cities in the United States.
The study focused on comparing over 180 of the largest cities in America. WalletHub studied each city “based on 31 key indicators of happiness.” These measures varied from the depression rate, to income-growth rate and the average leisure time spent per day. If you’re looking to be happier, the study shows that moving to a specific city could help.
After evaluating Austin, the city scored a 20 for physical and emotional well-being, a 24 for income and employment and a 94 in community and environment. Out of 180 cities, Austin is the 27th happiest city in America.
International Day of Happiness occurs on March 20, perhaps an ideal time to celebrate! Check out the full study below.
