Barns Courtney performed in the Dell Music Lounge in front of Austin City Limits Radio’s live studio audience Monday afternoon before opening up for Elle King at Stubb’s.
Courtney not only brought his talents to the stage, but also his humor. The folk-pop artist had the entire crowd moving with his acoustic tunes, and endless laughter echoed through the room when he chatted with our very own Andy Langer.
Barns Courtney opened up to the audience about his love for Star Wars, touring with Elle King, his pathway in music, and even discussed some acts he pulled off during tour that may have caused some uproar.
“I got in trouble a lot on this tour,” said Courtney as he told the audience he once revealed too much skin that was unsuitable for some people. “They called my manager and said, ‘he’s taking his pants off onstage’!”
