Coldplay are dropping their new double album Everyday Life on November 22nd. But it wouldn’t be a Coldplay move to only give their fans a double album that day. The band is set to perform their entire album in Amman, Jordan and will live stream the release-day concert on YouTube.
They announced the show with the help of Portlandia and Sleater-Kinney star Carrie Brownstein and co-star Fred Armisen in a mock press conference. With those two involved, you can tell it was difficult for the band to keep a straight face. Brownstein and Armisen are the only lively humans in the crowd and play journalists in the sketch. Watch them make things awkward as they interrogate the band members:
