Artist: Dylan Cartlidge

Genre: Alternative/Hip-Hop

Performance: Wednesday, March 13th at 6AM

British artist Dylan Cartlidge found his love for music at the age of 13 when he began to write his own raps. By 18, he implemented his art into music. Now, the alternative-indie rapper and singer has landed a record deal and is currently on a UK headline tour. The artist recently released a single called “Monsters Under the Bed,” which will be included in his upcoming EP that will share the same title.

Cartlidge’s style of music is unique to the ear. His funk-styled rhythms incorporated with his upbeat vocals are inspired by a handful of artists, ranging from different genres. With artists like Kid Cudi, The Black Keys and Jack White influencing his work, Cartlidge has found his own sound that you definitely need to witness and hear for yourself.

Check out his latest single below.

Artist: BAILEN

From: New York

Genre: Alternative Rock

Performance: Wednesday, March 13th at 7AM

A trio of siblings making music.

Raised in New York City, BAILEN comprises of Julie Bailen and twin brothers Daniel Bailen and David Bailen. Even though they’re related, the three are very much their own individuals. And their music proves it.

BAILEN captures vocals from the three of them. Their harmonies and trade-offs perfectly balance their matchless sound. With the band’s musical style incorporating a bit of alternative-rock, some soul and a hint of country, they have proven that their sound is unlike any other. Their inspiration roots from countless of classical and pop artists, literature, and a love of language.

BAILEN is used to the live performance-scene. The trio lived in London for a while where they performed almost every day for two months. After returning back to the states, they were committed to their performance schedule, and their recognition on the stage has played a huge role on their fan base. With only a couple of songs out, the band already has a U.S. headline tour. You can expect their debut album to drop on April 26th.

Check out their single “I Was Wrong,” which you can also hear on ACL Radio.

Artist: J.S. Ondara

From: Nairobi, Kenya

Genre: Folk Rock

Performance: Wednesday, March 13th at 7:30AM

Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, J.S Ondara found his passion for music at a young age.

Despite the language barrier, it did not stop Ondara from loving artists such as Nirvana, Neil Young and Bob Dylan as a kid. The artist grew up listening and singing along to their songs. Ondara soon discovered his obsession with music, and began singing and writing his own songs by the time he was 8-years-old.

Although he knew that pursuing a career in music was out of the ordinary, the artist realized that music was a part of him, and he could not overlook it. His folk-rock music style grew by the time he moved to Minnesota, also known as Bob Dylan’s home state, and began to work on music full-time. Now at the age of 26, the self-taught musician has released his debut album called Tales of America back in February.
