Starting off the weekend’s festivities, Austin City Limits Radio will be hosting a live morning broadcast show at Threadgill’s South HQ on Friday, Oct. 5. With just a $5 donation towards HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians), you get to watch live performances and interviews with bands from the festival. Check out our roster to learn more about who we are kicking the weekend off with.
Friday, Oct. 5th
8AM: The Coronas
The four piece Irish rock band are one of the first performers of weekend one! With an EP, Reprise, released this summer, The Coronas are returning to the US to showcase their new music while on their American tour. Stopping in Austin, catch The Coronas at Threadgill’s on Friday morning to start your weekend off with some raspy, Irish tunes.
8:45 AM: Milo Greene
Joining our lineup at 8:45 am is Milo Greene, a self-described “cinematic indie pop” group based in Los Angeles. The quartet has not one, not two, but THREE lead vocalists who trade off vocal and instrumental duties throughout each performance. Their third full length, Adult Contemporary, is out now and we can’t wait to see these guys live!
9:30: Wilderado
Wilderado is an alternative band that produces easy listening, foot tapping tracks. Although the band only has a couple of EP’s under their belt, their sound is distinct through their smooth harmonies matched with an indie rock influence. Wilderado will be performing songs off their EP, Favor, released earlier this month.
10:15: Molly Burch
Indie pop singer, Molly Burch, will be taking stage at the morning broadcast show with her smoky vocals and smooth beats. Burch began her debut in 2017 after releasing her first album, Please Be Mine. Throughout 2018, Burch has scattered new singles, her newest being Candy, which was released on Sept. 26.
11:00: Lisa Loeb
Among other titles of “mother”, “author”, and “philanthropist”, singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb will be performing one of her most popular songs, “Stay (I Missed You)”, along with her pop singles from the early 2000’s. Loeb will only be in town for this weekend so if you cannot make her set at the festival, stop by the morning broadcast show!
11:45: Hozier
The famous Irish singer, Hozier, will be returning to Austin City Limits Festival this year, but with new music to offer. Released on Sept. 6, EP Nina Cried Power, is packed with meaningful lyrics and blues-y melodies. Watch a fan favorite, Hozier, in a more intimate space before he hits the big stage in the park.
