Rolling into day two of the weekend, Austin City Limits Radio will be hosting a live morning broadcast show at Threadgill’s South HQ on Saturday, Oct. 6. With just a $5 donation towards HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians), you get to watch live performances and interviews with bands from the festival. Check out our roster to learn more about who we are kicking the weekend off with.
Saturday, Oct. 6th:
8AM: Donna Missal
New Jersey native, Donna Missal, is making her steady rise to fame. Her debut album, This Time, was released on Sept. 7, and has received roaring reviews. Missal’s silky voice and powerful, soulful sounds capture the attention of anyone just swaying along. Be sure to catch Missal as she embarks on her growing musical journey.
9:30: The Texas Gentlemen
Performing in their home state, The Texas Gentlemen will be filling the Austin air with waves of their country-blues ballads. Supporting artists on tour from Ed Sheeran to George Strait, don’t let their name fool you if you don’t love Southern twang. The Texas Gentlemen have a diverse sound that makes anyone want to sing along.
10:15: lovelytheband
The California trio, lovelytheband, has recently been on a musical high. With the recent release of their debut album, finding it hard to smile, there were a few outliers that immediately hit the charts. “Broken” is one of their new releases that has flooded radio stations since this summer.
11:00: Cuco
Cuco is a young, upcoming artist who fails to fit into one musical genre. Without slapping a label on Cuco’s chill, hip hop beats, his music flows beyond perimeters. Cuco also uses his platform to speak about immigrant rights, which has allowed his listeners to create a deeper connection with him, as an artist. Come out to support Cuco, an impactful artist who is changing the world around him through music.
11:45: Chvrches
Indie pop band, Chvrches, is returning to the South all the way from Scotland. Their famous synth-pop sounds are evident in their newest album released earlier this year, Love Is Dead. The group’s upbeat, electronic music makes their live performances memorable and energetic so be sure to start day two of ACL at the morning broadcast show with Chvrches!
