Lana Del Rey took to social media to confirm that her new album Blue Banisters will be released on July 4. This marks Del Rey’s eighth studio album, and her third album release in one year. Back in July 2020, she released a spoken word LP called Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass and in March 2021 she shared her seventh LP Chemtrails Over the Country Club.

Earlier in April, Del Rey teased fans with a photo captioned with the words “Blue Banisters,” but it was unclear if it would be a new song from her previously mentioned Rock Sweet Candy.
Previously, Del Rey mentioned she would drop an album called Rock Sweet Candy in June 2020, and the announcement came after the release of Chemtrails Over the Country Club on March 19. Del Rey said Rock Sweet Candy would challenge the recent accusations of “cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse.”
Additionally, the singer-songwriter is currently creating a country covers album. An album name has yet to be released, however Del Rey did reveal that she has two titles in mind.
