Lana Del Rey to Release Album by Christmas

Lana Del Rey pushed back the release date of her upcoming album Chemtrails Over the Country Club until 2021. But she didn’t want to keep fans waiting. So instead, she’ll be releasing an album of “American standards and classics” just in time for Christmas.

The artist revealed the news to fans in an Instagram Live she filmed while having dinner at Denny’s. She stated Chemtrails Over the Country Club will not arrive until springtime of next year because she “can’t get the record plants to open until March 5th.” This adds to a 16-week delay from her original release date.

After sharing the unfortunate news, Del Rey turned everyone’s emotions around when she unveiled her upcoming project. “So in the meantime, I’m going to give you a digital record of American standards and classics for Christmas.” No further details were shared.

Back in October, the artist released “Let Me Love You Like A Woman” as the first single from Chemtrails Over the Country Club and recently shared an A capella version of the song “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from the 1963 Rodgers & Hammerstein musical Carousel.  The track will be used in a documentary about Liverpool FC.
