Austin Public Health has approved the updated protocols for the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Organizers previously announced that attendees will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test or their COVID-19 vaccination card in order to attend the festival. Now, masks will be required in certain areas of the park.
Following a review by Austin Public Health, ACL Festival will implement the protocols for this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival that were announced, with the addition of a mask requirement in certain areas.
Masks will be required in areas that are “difficult to maintain social distancing.” Attendees must mask up on shuttle buses, entrance lines, areas closest to the stages, and their limited indoor areas like the on-site merch store. Organizers stated that free masks will be available to grab at each entry gate.
Attendees must take the COVID-19 test within 72 hours of attending the 3-day weekend festival. Patrons who are fully vaccinated can opt-out of getting tested and show proof of their vaccination record.
Here are the festival procedures to follow for both weekends:
- Austin City Limits Festival 2021 Entry Procedures
Comply with the ACL Festival Fan Health Pledge - Each day, bring a printed copy of your Negative COVID-19 test, Vaccine Card, or Vaccine Record
- Bring your Festival Wristband
- Please also remember our updated bag policy – CLEAR BAGS ONLY – and NO liquids are allowed to be brought into ACL Festival.
