Metallica perform their third annual “Helping Hands Concert” featuring the live debut of their newest single “Lux Æterna.”
The benefit-concert took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with an introduction from the “Iron Man” icon, Robert Downey Jr. and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Metallica started with a stripped down setup performing “Blackened 2020,” Thin Lizzy’s “Borderline,” and UFO’s “It’s Killing Me.”
The night also saw performances from Greta Van Fleet and a special collaborative performance with St. Vincent singing “Nothing Else Matters” with Metallica. The band performed the rest of the benefit with their usual ensemble and debuted the live performance of “Lux Æterna.”
Metallica will be in Texas soon for their M72 World Tour!
