Mumford & Sons Premiere Live Music Video from ACL Fest

Mumford and Sons

Mumford & Sons are back with a new single. The highly anticipated song called “Blind Leading The Blind” is the first piece of work fans have heard from the band since their last album Delta, which was released in 2018.

A press release from the band says they’ve been “working on, re-shaping, re-writing and generally re-imagining over the last 18 months.” The tune is inspired by American author John Steinbeck’s work, which is a common influence for frontman Marcus Mumford. The band’s songs “Dust Bowl Dance,” “Timshel,” and “Rose of Sharon” also reflect on Steinbeck’s pieces. According to Billboard, the new tune also touches on the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire and Mumford’s charitable efforts as “ambassador for War Child U.K. and Children in Conflict U.S.”

The band released a live music video for their new song today. The footage was captured at ACL Fest, where Mumford and Sons headlined both weekends. Check it out below:

The band recently made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. The comedian and television host partners up with Mumford for a paternity shocker bit. Check out the hilarious sketch below:
