Spoon have released a brand new song from their upcoming album Lucifer on the Sofa.

Over the past two years, including the infamous 2020 lockdown, Spoon wrote and recorded Lucifer on the Sofa. It was midway through the recording process when COVID-19 came into place and led to a studio shut down. Frontman Britt Daniel wrote up some new songs during that gap, describing it as a “first-of-its-kind moment. There are songs I wrote last spring [of 2020] that I wouldn’t have come up with otherwise.”
The Austin-based group plan to release the new record on February 11, 2022. Check out their first single, “The Hardest Cut,” below.
