John Lennon would have been 80-years-old on October 9. The Beatles icon was celebrated widely that day, including virtual tribute concerts, memorial art pieces, and even artists sharing covers of the late icon. Among those paying homage was Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker.
The Australian singer shared his cover of “Jealous Guy” on Instagram. “Happy Birthday John Lennon!” wrote Parker. He also tagged Lennon’s son in the video. The at-home acoustic performance shows Parker playing the guitar and singing in bed.
“Jealous Guy” was included in Lennon’s 1971 album Imagine and was then released as a single in 1985 and in 1988.
