Exciting things are coming our way this upcoming new year. The Strokes have confirmed a global tour in 2019.
Their first scheduled performance for the new year will be at Bilbao BBK Live Festival in Spain. The New York City rock band hasn’t performed together since 2017, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been making music on their own.
2018 called for new music for some of the band members. Frontman Julian Casablancas released an album with his band The Voidz, and guitarist Albert Hammond Jr released his fourth solo album this year, “Francis Trouble.”
As for The Strokes releasing a full length album, well that hasn’t happened since 2013. Even though there has been some talk about a possible album in the future, nothing has been confirmed.
Their show at Bilbao BBK Live Festival is the only date confirmed so far for the band’s international tour in 2019, however more dates are expected to be released soon.
