You can hear unreleased demo recordings of Weezer and Rivers Cuomo for $9.
The frontman launched a web store called Mister Rivers’ Neighborhood that’s exclusively filled with unreleased demos recorded from up to decades ago.
Cuomo shared on Twitter that he’s currently in a Web Programming class. For his final project, he created a new online market.
For my Web Programming class final project, I made a web market stocked with 2655 previously unreleased demos. https://t.co/wFNb1drPRs

The online stores offers so much variety, going all the way back to 1976. You can choose demos ranging from Cuomo’s childhood, pre-Weezer times, all the way to their 2016 self-titled album, plus their “best of” collection. The demos are linked to Dropbox folders, which allows the frontman to add more new content on there any time. So once you make a purchase, you’re all set and can re-download different material without paying again. The sets vary in length. Ranging from about 40 minutes to even 38 hours, and they’re all $9.
You can even get an audio preview for the collection you plan on purchasing. The frontman noted that some parts of the sets have low sound quality, silence, some “rambling,” and might be “wildly inappropriate.”
The website states, “If you have a close friend, who really can’t afford it, and they really want the music, sure, go ahead and share. But don’t post for the general public.” Happy shopping!
