Woofstop #1 | 12:00pm | Austin Humane Society
Woofstock is almost here and there’s only one way to get your tickets: bring a donation to one of our three woofstops at Austin animal shelters. The first 85 people to drop off a donation at each shelter will get a pair of tickets. There are three woofstops, so come to whichever location is most convenient for you (see below for where & when). They need everything from pet food, kitty litter, toys, pooper scoopers to blankets and beyond. A little goes a long way to help our four legged friends in need! For more info check our website.
Kool & The Gang | 8:00pm | ACL Live
Formed as a jazz ensemble in the mid- ‘60s, Kool & The Gang became one of the most inspired and influential funk units during the ‘70s, and one of the most popular R&B groups of the ‘80s after their breakout hit “Celebration.” Don’t miss your chance to see them perform this Saturday at ACL Live. The Peterson Brothers | 8:00pm | The Highball
For a decade, the Texas natives have been building a fan base across America, playing both classic funk and soul, and their original music that includes jam-band style improvisation by Glenn Jr. on vocals and guitar, and Alex on bass, vocals and violin. The brothers’ love for classic Funk, Soul, and Blues music was born when their mother and grandmother brought home a crate of assorted albums and turntable from a garage sale. Tickets available here.

Jo’s 16th Annual Chili Cook-Off | 12:00pm | Hotel San Jose
Since 2005 Jo’s has hosted our annual Chili Cook-Off + Benefit to warm up the winter. This event raises money to support Free Lunch, which works to address food insecurity here in Austin. Amateur and professional culinary talent engage in a five-alarm battle for the prized chili pot. Wristbands are $25 on-site, check here for more info.
