Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) will open a two-day survivor intake center in Elgin next week to offer relief to those impacted by the outbreak of tornadoes on March 21, 2022. Volunteers will offer emergency supplies and funds in the form of gift cards as well as teams to meet with survivors and help them take their first steps towards recovery.
DATES AND TIMES:
The Intake Center will take place at the First Baptist Church Elgin at 205 W 2nd Street, Elgin, TX:
• Tuesday, April 5, 11 am to 7 pm
• Wednesday, April 6, 11 am to 7 pm
To receive ADRN services, homeowners need to bring a photo id, a current utility bill for their home, and a photo of the damage. Residents can also call the ADRN Disaster Survivor Hotline for help and information at 512-806-0800.
ADRN will be collecting Survivor Care Kits from 10am–5pm Monday through Saturday at Hope Family Thrift Store (1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723).
Survivor Care Kits needed for men, women, kids and families:
- blankets
- towels
- hygiene items
- soap
- lotion
- shampoo/conditioner
- shaving cream
- *Once you create your kit, make sure to LABEL who it’s been made for (male, female, family, child, etc).
Bring donations/ Survivor Care Kits to the Hope Family Thrift Store (1122 E. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723), Monday – Saturday, 10:00AM – 5:30PM
