Zilker Summer Musical

Zilker Summer Musicals have been a longstanding tradition in Austin and are a part of what makes the city so special, so don’t miss out on the fun and come celebrate Zilker Theatre’s 60th Anniversary at the opening night of this year’s 50’s Elvis-inspired production, All Shook Up! Free Guided Meditation
1 PM | Austin Public Library
Give your weekend a fresh start by letting go of the week and anything else weighing you down with this free guided meditation led by Dr. James Phillips at the beautiful Austin Public Library fifth floor balcony overlooking the lake and downtown. This event is open to all ages and experience levels. Guests are welcome to bring a mat or cushion of their choosing, but chairs will be provided.
Drive-in Movie: Dazed & Confused

Speaking of anniversaries… the 70’s-inspired flick “Dazed and Confused,” filmed in Austin and co-starring then-UT-student Matthew McConaughey, is turning twenty-five this summer! Yoga & Mimosas + Succulent Planting Party

ATX Yoga Girl and Succulent Native are teaming up this Saturday morning for “Rise & Root” – a 50-minute yoga flow followed by mimosas and a succulent arrangement class! Guests can pick their arrangement’s container, two succulents and a custom topping. You’ll also learn tips about succulent care before taking your plant babies home. Take your kiddos to this fun, FREE, one-hour event where they can learn the ropes of kayaking, paddling and navigation on the beautiful Lady Bird Lake! Available to ages 6-10, parent or guardian must be present. Limited spots are available, so reserve your spot now!
Diverse Arts Picnic
7:30 PM | Kenny Dorham’s Backyard
Get your live music and food truck fill this weekend at the Diverse Arts community event with performances from “cumbia fusion” band Huerta Culture and Latin reggae group Los Roleros Cosmicos, with local food trucks serving up all the good eats. This event is free (with just a $10 donation suggested at the door), open to all ages, pet-friendly and BYOB!

Pupcake Pawty

Here it is, we found it – the party we’ve all been waiting for and thought existed only in our dreams – a puppy + vodka-infused cupcake party! Even better, this event is benefitting Wee Rescue Austin and complimentary cocktails will also be provided by Tito’s. No tickets needed, but this event is sure to be packed so arrive early and ready to raise the woof!
Free Outdoor Movie: Cool Runnings
9 PM | Easy Tiger
End your weekend on a high note with a free outdoor screening of this comedy set in Jamaica, based very loosely on the bobsled team that made it to the ’88 Calgary Olympics, at the super cool Easy Tiger venue on East Sixth. $12 will get you two hotdogs with dill relish, beer-braised onions and a sweet & salty movie mix! $5 draft beer and $3 cans will also be available for purchase. This event is free, kid-friendly and only happening a few more times this summer, so be sure to stop by!
Bacon Brunch at the W

It’s Kevin Bacon’s birthday on Sunday! Not that we needed one but, that’s totally a good enough excuse for a bacon-themed brunch, right? We’re going with yes. Trace in The W Hotel is hosting a Six Degrees of Bacon Brunch this weekend featuring beats by DJ Kurupt and specialty cocktails like the “Footloose Frozé” and “A Few Good Gin.” Reserve your spot here.
