Happy Friday everyone! No plans for the weekend yet? Don’t fret, your friends at KGSR have got you covered – check out the events going on this weekend that we think will be the perfect way to relax, have fun and forget all about your hectic week:

 


Saturday, June 9th

 

 

Wellness Retreat for Women 
9:30 AM | Lake Austin

Need to hit the re-set button? Treat yo’self with this female-led day of “connection, inspiration and relaxation,” meant to refresh the spirit via mindfulness, empowerment and self-love. Participants will practice yoga and meditation, learn about the many dimensions of wellness and enjoy healthy food and drink + “lakeside lounging and swimming.” Buy your ticket here.

 

Clean Up the Lake
9 AM | Lady Bird Lake

Start your weekend off right by giving back to the community! Keep Austin Beautiful will be hosting their June Lady Bird Lake clean-up this Saturday, and will provide volunteers with all necessary cleaning equipment. Volunteers are welcome to help from the shore or on the water from canoes and kayaks, and are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and bring plenty of water.

 

Trace’s National Rosé Day Brunch
10:30 AM | W Austin

Join Trace in celebrating National Rosé Day the right way at the lavish W Hotel with specialty Rosé-themed cocktails and brunch dishes, accompanied by live beats from DJ Kid Slyce. Brunch will run until 3pm and reservations are recommended.
 

Puppy Pool Party
2 PM | Haymaker  

Go cool off this weekend with your favorite little fur baby at Haymaker’s 3rd Annual Puppy Pool Party! Your pups can expect plenty of toys, doggy pools and free dog samples, while you can enjoy $3 alcoholic (or free non-alcoholic) Sno-cones! A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Wags, Hope & Healing charity.

 

 

 

 

She Shreds Magazine + C3 Present Broncho, Sunflower Bean and More
6 PM | Historic Scoot Inn

Catch this perfect indie line-up on Saturday featuring artists Broncho, Sunflower Bean, Annabelle Chairlegs, Topo Chica, Clare and Blushing! The event is open to all ages, and East Side King food truck will be serving up lots of yummy food. Buy your tickets here
 

Ray LaMontagne with Special Guest Neko Case  
7:30 PM | Austin360 Amphitheater

One of our favorite artists, Ray LaMontagne, is performing this weekend, following the release of his new album, “Part of the Light,” which features the hit single “Such a Simple Thing.” KGSR will also be hosting an exclusive meet and greet before the show for fans! Currently on tour for the summer, LaMontagne will be stopping in Austin for one night only, so don’t miss out on this special chance to see him live and go grab your tickets now!

 

Sunday, June 10th

 

 

Yoga with Adriene
9:30 AM | Fair Market  

Practice live with the Youtube yoga sensation this weekend in the great outdoors! Adriene will hold a 75-minute flow for all levels, with complimentary tacos and drinks from Tacodeli, Health-Ade Kombucha, Dr. Vim’s and Chameleon Cold Brew served afterwards. Lit-Yoga with Austin Black Pride
10 AM | Givens Park

Yes, folks, MORE yoga because – well, why not? Come get your stretch on while celebrating Pride Month with Austin Black Pride, led by Tierra Fisher of Taste.Yoga, and learn more about yogic philosophies and breathing techniques! June Family Day at UMLAUF
12 PM | UMLAUF Sculpture Garden & Museum 

Finally, bring the whole family out to the beautiful UMLAUF Gardens for a fun, kid-friendly day of free activities, including a performance from Small Wonders Puppet Theater, with Wunder-Pilz Kombucha serving up drinks.
