Israeli electro-singer-songwriter Dennis Lloyd is spinning up one shiny, soulful groove after another, and we can’t get him out of our head lately. The 25-year-old, already a sensation in Europe, has only been making music for a few years, and is already a multi-faceted marvel – producing, singing and songwriting. After finishing music school in 2015, Lloyd went to live in Thailand for a year, where he focused on his sound and curated 40 songs. In 2017, when he saw another Israeli artist’s song blow up after being remixed by someone else, Lloyd had the bright idea to remix his own song “Nevermind” and see if he got the same result – he did, with “Nevermind (Alright),” which topped the charts in Italy last year. Lloyd, born Nir Tibor, has been offered several record deals in Italy and the U.S., but has chosen to remain in Israel, where he’s free to be an independent artist and do things on his own terms. Lloyd is now wrapping up his sold-out “MTFKR” world tour and will hopefully be back at home in Israel making new music for us soon. Check out some of his music below:
