What better way to follow up an amazing night of KGSR’s Blues on the Green than with a live performance from Austin’s one and only Shakey Graves?! The long-time KGSR favorite took a break from his sold-out “Can’t Wake Up” tour to visit us Thursday for an intimate performance in the Dell Music Lounge, presented by Oskar Blues Brewery!
In his interview with KGSR’s Andy Langer, the Austin native remembered his very first time at ACL, when he performed on the “maybe-pay-attention-to-this-guy-someday stage” and joked about doing a “Johnny and June bit” with Metallica at this year’s show. Graves also hinted at the release of a new 80’s hair-band-inspired video for “Kids These Days,” and its depiction of “how in the act of growing up, or as time goes by, no one really knows what’s going on.”
He performed several new tracks from his latest record, including “Excuses,” “Cops and Robbers” and the dreamy ballad “Foot of Your Bed” – check out our photos and videos from the performance below!
