It turns out that your favorite Texas craft brewer actually CAN stay open for business right now, most likely, following a tweaking of the State’s orders for bars to shut down. This is good news, but it sure would be nice to have some clear, solid guidance and leadership going in the middle of a global health crisis, no?
Eater is also on a roll with the potential damage our already-embattled restaurant employees could be facing upon returning to the workplace.
The Chainsmokers are in hot water after a supposed “socially distanced” show in New York turned out to be a bit more intimate than they had advertised.
The Killers are also going through a not-fun experience with serious allegations leveled against members of their road crew.
Crazy to think that we’re now 30 years out from the release of Richard Linklater’s Slacker, the movie that inspired the first of the zillions of people who would eventually move to Austin (including myself), which would eventually basically squash almost everything about “Old” Austin that the movie celebrated. Regardless, it’s still required viewing for those who love our town, no matter when you got here.
Also crazy to learn that up until very recently, it was illegal to run a recording studio for profit in your home in Nashville.
And…it’s Kate Bush’s birthday.
