Holiday Window Walk
8:00 AM | 2nd Street District
The 8th annual Holiday Window Walk taking place across the storefronts of 2nd Street District is hitting the streets of Austin again! Designed by students from St. Edward’s University, stores such as Hemline and Austin Rocks are having their windows transformed into festive scenes. The students participating in the window walk have the opportunity to win over $6,000 worth of scholarship funds from the 2nd Street District. So head over to the block and watch the magical transformation at the Holiday Window Walk.
Miracle on 5th Street
4:00 PM | The Eleanor
A seasonal favorite for many is coming back to the city of Austin during December. Beginning in New York City in 2014, Miracle is a Christmas-themed pop-up bar concept. Miracle has now expanded to 55 locations across the world and The Eleanor in downtown Austin is a host of the festivities. Along with the bar being completely transformed with garland, lights, and other decorations, a special holiday cocktail menu is available to order seasonal drinks. Lastly, no need to worry about dressing in your best to attend Miracle on 5th street. Ugly holiday sweaters, pajamas, and festive costumes are encouraged!
National Park Poster Show

In celebration of our National Parks, The NPR and The Fifty-Nine Parks are hosting a National Park Poster Show at the Mondo Gallery. Small and large edition prints of raw landscape shots will be available for purchase. A percentage of the sales from the posters are donated to The National Park Service in support of their efforts to keep parks clean and protected.

Art From The Streets Show

For the 26th year in a row, Art From The Streets is hosting an art show that allows those who are homeless or at risk in Austin the opportunity to create and sell their own art pieces. As a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, Art From The Streets provide free studio time three days a week to those who are eager to paint, draw, or sculpt. During the art show, artists are able to showcase and sell the work they created. 95{1f808bae73bcd259e55df7946f2ca62a9cbd24e69a0db13d6b1eb685c5f88299} of the sales go directly to the artists.
Waterloo Market and Food Drive
10:00 AM | Waterloo Records
Waterloo Records is hosting a sale and food drive on Dec. 1. The market sale will include thousands of used LP, 45s, CDs, and DVDs.There will also be live music from various artists as the record sale extends outside the shop and onto the sidewalk. A food drive for those in need this season will be accepting food donations.
Love Never Dies Theatrical Play
2:00 PM | Bass Concert Hall
Lexus Broadway in Austin presented by Texas Performing Arts is putting on their own production of Love Never Dies. Love Never Dies is a romantic musical composed by Andrew LLoyd Webber. It is a suspenseful sequel to the famous The Phantom Of The Opera. On Dec. 2 at 2 and 8pm, the last performance of this play will be available to view at Bass Concert Hall so be sure to enjoy Love Never Dies before the show goes on!
Austin Trail of Lights Run
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Zilker Park
Before the annual Trail of Lights takes over Zilker Park for the winter months, you could be one of the first to see the show stopping decorations… And get a work out in while doing so! Participants are able to walk or jog, all while under a sky full of lights. Costumes for the fun run are encouraged and there will even be an after-party celebration at the finish line.

H-E-B First Free Sunday
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Bullock Texas History Museum
Hosted by H-E-B, every first Sunday of the month is free entry to the Bullock Texas History Museum. In past events, the museum has centered their Sundays around certain themes such as Native American culture celebration. However, this Sunday is a workshop about the gift of giving. Games, crafts, snacks, and speakers will be present this Sunday as we roll into the holiday season.
A Magical Cirque Christmas

One of the most dazzling performances is being put on by A Magical Cirque Christmas. From the beautiful costumes to the intense performances, this production is known to showcase some of the best talent in the world. For this specific show, the circus will be singing Christmas carols among festive decorations.
